Overview

On June 24, 2015 Jive Communications announced that they have acquired Speek, a WebRTC enabled conferencing solutions for small to mid sized businesses. Two key factors of the acquisition are still being deliberated, including how Speek’s technology will be integrated into its new parent company’s platform and what members of the company’s remaining team will transition over. Speek was co-founded in 2012 by Bracken and Danny Boice. The company rose to national prominence with its free Web- and mobile-based virtual conference room, which participants would join using a link rather than a dial-in phone number and conference PIN.
